I have a few questions about the festival – I have a rod but will hooks and bait be provided? I also want to know what type of fish you have at the pond.
No worries. Poles, hooks and bait will be provided. There are Brown trout, Smallmouth Bass, Brown Bullhead, Pickerel, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed and Yellow Perch in Houghton’s Pond.

Thanks so much for asking! This is a FREE event! The best place to park is at the main parking lot for Houghton’s Pond on Hillside Street (Milton). Houghton’s Pond picnic site 5 (where the activities are) is a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the main parking lot. Hope to see you there!
what are the hours of the event? are certain things at certain times is there a schedule of the events?
Deb, Thanks so much for your interest in the Cool Summer Fest! The event takes place 10 am – 3 pm. Most activities run all day long. A couple special activities (like Silly Sally face painting) will start at 11 am. So come anytime!
