Park Serve is Postponed to April 27th

Saturday,  April 27 (NEW DATE), 9:00 am -1:00 pm – Join the DCR and the Friends of the Blue Hills to help maintain the trails and lend a hand in our park clean-up.  In addition to trail maintenance, you can help garden at Brookwood Community Farm or remove weeds at Ponkapoag Pond.  Bring gloves if you have them and plenty of water.  For all activities, meet at Houghton’s Pond main parking lot 9:00 am.

The DCR Commissioner has postponed Park Serve.  The new date is April 27, 9:00 am.  (We’re still meeting at Houghton’s Pond.)

    Thanks for doing this clean-up. Could you please ask people to contact their state rep/senator and ask them to support the updated bottle bill- with a quick click https://secure.sierraclub.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=1079

    That will greatly help. It will reduce litter and make future clean-ups easier.

    Also scheduled for the day is the building of a new, sustainable trail up Buck Hill! Join members of NEMBA (New England Mountain Bike Association) and learn how a new trail is born. This is the first Blue Hills trail built in many years, and will replace the badly-eroded Summit Path.
