Special 40th Anniversary Event
Saturday, July 27, from 8:30-11 a.m.
As part of our 40th Anniversary Celebration, the Friends is offering our members an opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty and serenity of the Blue Hills!
Join us for a Forest Bathing Walk in the Reservation led by certified Forest Therapy Guide Tam Willey. These slow-paced guided wanderings promote wellness through a series of gentle sensory-opening invitations that invite us to notice more of our natural surroundings.
SPACE IS LIMITED and is open to Members Only on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, please email info@FriendsoftheBlueHills.org. Once you are registered, you will receive additional information including the meeting place. If the session is full, you will be placed on a waiting list.
If you are not yet a member, you can join today! As a member, you’ll receive a trail map and invitations to special Members Only events throughout the year. Most importantly, your donation will help protect and preserve the Blue Hills Reservation for current and future generations!
For this month’s trail maintenance event, we are partnering with NepRWA to clean up the brook at Ponkapoag! We will still meet at Houghton’s Pond main parking lot… and then we will carpool to the work site, don waders and clean up the brook habitat by removing golf balls. We may also have some options for trail maintenance that day. Questions? Email info@FriendsoftheBlueHills.org.
In case of inclement weather, we will cancel, so please sign up for trail maintenance alerts at the bottom of our trail maintenance page. Be sure to stay after for a pizza lunch!
Calling all parents and tots! Join the Friends of the Blue Hills for a new season of Peek-a-Blue Hikes for parents and tots. Complimentary water, juice and snacks too. Hikes will be offered every other Tuesday morning throughout the season. For more info, visit www.FriendsoftheBlueHills.org/peekablue.
