#OptOutside Hike for Black Friday
Friday November 23, 11:00 am
Meet at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum north parking lot
The Friends of the Blue Hills has joined up with REI’s #OptOutside campaign on Black Friday Hike series to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors the day after Thanksgiving. We hope you will join us for a hike in the Blue Hills! If you weren’t able to join us at the recent ribbon cutting of the Abigail Adams Trail, here’s your chance to hike it with us! We’ll hike up from the Trailside Museum and enjoy the view from the top of Great Blue. Rain cancels. RSVP requested, but not required: info@FriendsoftheBlueHills.org.
Join the DCR and the New England Mountain Bike Association for a holiday toy drive collection. Bring a new unwrapped toy, then go on a guided or self-guided mountain bike ride or hike. All toys will be donated to Interfaith Social Services which help families in need during the holidays. Gifts for children ages 11-16 are most needed and appreciated. Call 617-727-4573, ext. 4 for more info. Meet at Houghton’s Pond Visitor Center at 840 Hillside Street in the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton.
Registration 9 am – 11 am
