When: Saturday, June 4 @ 9:00 am
Are you working towards your 125 miles of trails for the 125 Mile Club or want to meet people who are? Join Friends for a moderate hike to check off more miles, meet new people, and enjoy the park! Before you know it, you might just find that you’ve traveled all the miles in the park!
The hike will be about a two- to three-hour, moderately paced trek covering about 5 miles. Bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, and sturdy hiking shoes or boots (no open-toed shoes!). Steady rain cancels the event. Leader: Mike Paglia.
The event is over, but you can still sign up for the 125-Mile Club Challenge here.
How do we sign up 😁
Nikki,
Great question! We should have had a link to the sign up page!
Visit the 125-Mile Club page here, and click on ‘sign up’!
Feel free to comment again if you have questions, or email us at info@friendsofthebluehills.org.
Thanks for asking!
Judy
I have a couple of questions about the 125 Mile Club. Is there a time frame during which the hikes need to be completed to count? Does the Skyline Trail need to be completed in a single hike or can it be spread out over several days? Do hikes I have done before sigining up count? (I have some special trails in all segments of the Blue Hills that I have done many times before, but I want to use the 125 Mile materials to hike the ones I have not hiked before.
Thanks.
Thanks so much for your great questions! The 125-Mile Club is intended to get you out exploring the park! You sign up when you start (so now!). You can take as long as you want to complete the 125 miles… and the Skyline Trail. You can hike the Skyline Trail in sections over days. Technically, hikes you’ve done before signing up don’t count.
Let us know if you have more questions1
Can you tell me which trail you will be hiking on June 4th ?
Hello! We will meet at the Houghtons Pond parking lot and hike the yellow triangle trail. The hike leaders will email you. Enjoy!
