2022-06-06Bob VogelGreen Hill Path2.25Cut, with saw, second cut through a very large tree 3' above the trail. Rolled cut section off trail.I didn't get any further up Green Hill Path, however it was 'ok' the last time I was there, with no other big obstructions.
2022-06-17Ruth BigioBurma Road4Anna and I (two other volunteers cancelled) removed Mile-A-Minute invasive weed at Burma Road. We started at trail head (near Paul's Bridge), not much at first, increasing amounts as we went along, approximately half a mile. We also picked up a big bag of trash at the TH.Anna MacdougallMy goal was to get to intersection with Fowl Meadow Path (trail marker #6005) where Mile-A-Minute is covering the entire area.. Removing this weed before it blooms is best, it can just be left on the ground. After blooming it needs to be placed in bags and taken to be incinerated.
2022-06-20Judy Lehrer JacobsBrown Path22We worked at the Farnham Connolly Park pulling mile a minute. We pulled most of the weeds along the trail that goes to the Neponset, but not to the very end. There is still a lot at the end as well as in the woods.Keith Gardner, Wade Stanley, Dillan Millington, Emily Bonnaccorso, Sean Herlihy, Mike Sullivan, Ed Laracy, Matt Muto, Lance HarrisonThere is still a lot at the end as well as in the woods.

2022-09-26Charlie CrosbyBurma Road2Pulled the invasive Mile-a-Minute from an area missed during the summer. Assessed and documented remaining M-a-M in the area being managed. Sent detailed report to Julia & Judy. There is more M-a-M in the Phragmites along the east/left hand side of Burma Road trail before the small (now broken) wooden bridge. And also in the meadow on the west/right hand side of Burma Road trail, go out into the meadow and head left/south along the shrubby border. That bridge will need repair soon...
2022-10-06Joan Kagan WaldmanFowl Meadow Path4Surveying, taking photos. Path along the river very narrow. Two stream crossings made of piled branches. Way better than nothing, but a bit tricky when slick. Parts of the path were difficult to pass through because they were overgrown, especially where plants were thorny.Melanie Barber
2022-10-12Charlie CrosbyBurma Road14We pulled 16 trash bags full of Mile-a-Minute vine from the Burma Road trail, but mostly in the northern section of Fowl Meadow.Christine Grundy, Diana Gomberg, Bob Costello, Jane Kepros, Sturdy WatermanSturdy found more MAM farther north in the meadow and towards the river. We did not get to the patch farther south in the meadow. Combined, there is enough for another work crew.
