What do you like to do best in the Blue Hills?

Over the past two years I’ve found I really like to hike and explore different areas of the reservation including Ponkapoag and Houghtons pond. I hike Braintree pass and Sawcut Notch path areas the most.

How long have you been visiting the Blue Hills?

Although I visited a few times when I was in high school, on foot and horseback,  I have really discovered the reservation over the past two years. It is a great way to relax and enjoy a natural setting so close to home.

Can you describe what you were doing or thinking when you took the photo?

It was a very humid July day when I decided to check out the bog boardwalk. I had never been. I had the place all to myself and just loved the view of the water framed by the trees. That view was worth the walk!

What would you like people to see or feel when they look at your photo?

I hope folks just like the photo and it inspires them to discover the reservation.
