Thank you all for responding to our Action Alert to write your legislators to ask the Chair of the Committee on Natural Resources to support Bill H.818 with a favorable report out of committee.  This bill would protect the portion of the Blue Hills called Fowl Meadow by prohibiting building within 1,000 feet of Fowl Meadow’s sensitive wetland.

If you haven’t already, please see our Action Alert and contact your legislators.  The hearing on the bill has been rescheduled to this Thursday, March 21, 2003 at 2:30 pm at the State House in Hearing Room B-1.

If you’ve already asked your legislator to weigh in, you can testify at the hearing or if you can’t attend you can also submit testimony directly to one of the chairs of the Committee.

To submit testimony to the Committee directly, email Kyle Murray, who is the Legislative Director for Sen. Pacheco, Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture. His email address is kyle.murray@masenate.gov. You can also fax Kyle Murray at the following number: 617-722-1074.  You can also send the testimony to the House chair, who is Rep. Anne Gobi . Her fax is 617-722-2339,  and her email is Anne.Gobi@mahouse.gov.

We also encourage you to thank Rep Walter Timilty for introducing the legislation.   You can email him at: Walter.Timilty@mahouse.gov.
