DCR Adult Walking Club

Walks will be led by a park ranger or a Walking Club volunteer leader. This club is open to people of 16 years of age and older, and there is no fee to join.

Moderate walk, some hills. Walk a 3-mile route along the edge of Ponkapoag Pond and the golf course. Meet at the Ponkapoag Golf Course parking lot at 2167 Washington St. in Canton. For info, call 617-698-1802 x 4.

Things to know before you go

• Carry drinking water on all hikes
• Wear sturdy footgear and consider walking poles and ice cleats
• Dress in layers and avoid cotton clothing. Hat and gloves recommended.
• We will hike unless the weather creates unsafe conditions
