The pond swimming area is supervised by lifeguards seven days a week in July and August, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

I was there yesterday. Plenty of people swimming but also social distancing. Seemed to be plenty of space for all.
Hello. Do you know if swimming is currently allowed in Houghton’s Pond? I understand that there will be no lifeguards, and that all COVID-19 related safety protocols need to be followed on site, but was not sure about swimming. Thanks so much!

I am sorry it took so long for me to get back to you! The DCR rangers say that swimming is currently at your own risk. They do suggest that you wait until lifeguards are on duty and swim ropes are up. Also restrooms limited and only open from 8am to 3pm. There are no trash barrels, carry in carry out.
