Friends of the Blue Hills volunteer Caleb Blankenship (center) and DCR rangers Tom Bender (left) and Ray McKinnon received awards for their commitment to the Blue Hills at this year’s Massachusetts Forest and Park Friends Network Conference.
Caleb earned this year’s Volunteer of the Year Award for his dedication to the Friends of the Blue Hills trail maintenance effort. As chair of Friends of the Blue Hills Trails Committee, Caleb helped oversee over 350 volunteers who logged over 1,200 hours maintaining the trails in the Blue Hills this year.
