If you shop in Milton You Could Support the Blue Hills on Earth Day!

You can help the Blue Hills just by bringing a reusable shopping bag to get your groceries! 

In celebration of Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, the Fruit Center Marketplace in Milton will donate $2 for every customer who uses a reusable grocery bag in the store that day. 

All proceeds of the promotion will go to the Friends of the Blue Hills to help maintain 125 miles of trails in the Blue Hills Reservation.  “The Fruit Center is committed to environmental causes, and we wanted to celebrate Earth Day by supporting a local organization that shares that same commitment,” said Michael Dwyer, Marketing Director of the Fruit Center Marketplace.  “In addition to encouraging the use of reusable shopping bags, we are very focused on reducing our carbon imprint and supporting local environmental groups.  We are pleased to be partnering this year with the Friends of the Blue Hills, an organization that is so committed to protecting and preserving the natural beauty and resources of the Blue Hills Reservation.”

To qualify for the $2 donation to Friends of the Blue Hills, customers can either purchase a reusable bag in the store (prices range from $3 to $5.99) or bring their own bag from home.
