The 10th annual Houghton’s Pond Trail Race will take place on Sunday, October 6th, beginning at 9 AM near the Houghton’s Pond main parking lot on Hillside Street in Milton  The net proceeds from the race are divided between Colonial Road Runners and Friends of the Blue Hills.
If you are interested in running the race, information on registration is available at http://www.colonialrunners.org/HoughtonsPond.php   If you would like to volunteer… we would welcome your help, to ensure a successful race !
The time commitment is approximately 7 AM to 10:30 AM, depending on the assignment.  If you need to arrive late or leave early, let us know, and we’ll plan for that.  If you have a preferred assignment—registration, parking, timing, water stops, refreshments, course monitoring, or “sweeping” behind the last runners—let us know.  All race volunteers receive one of our distinctive race T-shirts.
We can also use help marking the course on Saturday, October 5th, starting at 8 AM.  It usually takes 2-3 hours.  It is a pleasant walk in the woods with company, and no experience is needed!
If you can help either on Saturday or Sunday (or both!), please send an email to trailrunning@colonialrunners.org.
Many thanks for your help,
John Goldrosen, Director
