Tell your State Representative to Urge Speaker DeLeo to Keep the Bottle Bill Update Amendment!
On July 19, the State Senate passed the Bottle Bill Update. It was introduced as an amendment by Sen. Bob Hedlund (R-Hull), a longtime supporter of the bill. After 14 years, this is the first time that the bill has passed either chamber!
Many Senators told us that they were amazed at the huge outpouring of calls and emails they received.
In order for the Bottle Bill to make it to the floor, we need to conference committee to include it in their “compromise version”.
Tell your State Representative to urge House Speaker Robert DeLeo to include this amendment in the house version of the final bill. You can send an email to the Speaker here or write your representative directly. You can look up contact info for your representative at wheredoivotema.com.
