How Does the Forest Tell a Story? @ Thomas Crane Public Library | Quincy | Massachusetts | United States

How does a forest tell a story? Through the years the Blue Hills Reservation has experienced many droughts, floods, and forest fires. All of these natural phenomena (and more) have an impact on plants and how they grow.

With Debbie Merriam, the Executive Director of the Mary May Binney Arboretum, we’ll explore how the Blue Hills forests tell a detailed history of the land itself. We’ll be learning all about native and non-native plants and how they individually impact the greater ecosystem.

Join us at 7pm on January 23rd at the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy. This program will be taking place in the Community Room in the Main Library. No sign up prior to the event is required. This program is free and open to all ages. We hope to see you there!
