REGISTRATION CLOSED:
Whether you choose one or both hikes, it’s the perfect way to connect with nature and experience the magic of the solstice from dawn to dusk. But we Challenge you to do both!
Celebrate the summer solstice with two unforgettable hikes, each marking a beautiful moment of the day. Start with a sunrise hike to witness the first light of the longest day, filling the air with peace and new beginnings. Later, return for a sunset hike as the sun sets in a vibrant display, offering a peaceful end to your adventure.
Meet-up location and time for each hike: Please meet at the Ski Hill Parking Lot (Here) 10 minutes before the designated start times of 430am for the sunrise hike and 730 pm for the sunset hike. We will be heading up to Eliot Tower for the sunrise AND the sunset (but will take slightly different routes up there)!
What to wear: Be prepared for cooler morning temperatures with layers that can easily be adjusted as the day warms. A moisture-wicking base layer, lightweight jacket, and sturdy hiking boots are a must for both comfort and support. Don’t forget a hat and sunglasses for the sunset hike.
And bring water! Staying hydrated is key to making the most of your day, so pack enough to keep you refreshed throughout both hikes.
Those stupid popup donation balloons make it very difficult to use the sign up form.
It’s bizarre to post an event like this without providing the most basic details.
The email to registrants just went out with additional details on where to meet and where we’ll be going. If you’re registered but didn’t get the email, please let us know.
Signed up for the Summer Solstice Hike at Sunset. Where do we meet up at the beginning? Can you also give some further info about how long the hike will be and where in the park we might be exploring?
Hi there! Once details have been settled around location and meetup spot, we’ll reach out via email. We’re so glad you signed up.
I’d like to join the summer solstice hike.
Wonderful! There was a glitch with the signup form, but it’s been fixed. Click into the calendar entry and you should be able to sign up for one or both of the solstice hikes.
