Join the Friends of the Blue Hills and the Blue Hills Ski Area on February 27th for an evening of winter fun at Winter Fest!
Come to warm up by the fire or get your exercise on the slopes downhill skiing. Whether or not you choose the outdoor activities, there is plenty of inside fun too: you can tap your feet to the spirited Irish tunes of Songs for Ceilidh, taste chili from some of the best local restaurants, entertain the kids with crafts, and enjoy the company of old and new friends.Â
The event is FREE! Â
Blue Hills Ski Area will be offering discounted ski tickets for the night. For more information, email info@FriendsoftheBlueHills.org.Â

Hi,
I would like to volunteer if needed and be part of this event. If you do not need a volunteer I will just enjoy the music and food.
I attempted to sign up, but no email has arrived. [Blackbaud / Convio really needs to get a clue about what spam looks like…]
I’m also available to help with setup/run/cleanup, like last year. Is there any interest in an associated hike earlier in the day? I realize that many folks couldn’t make that on a weekday, though.
Hot chili, cold night, all right, all right, all right.
Let it snow let it snow let it snow
Looking forward to a great day!
Last year there seemed to be a disconnect between some people who signed up early online, and what volunteers/staff had on their lists at the event sign-in table. I know; I was one of those who had a problem, as did a group of young women behind me. Worse yet, the sign-in table was just inches in front of the band, making conversation about registrations impossible.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for sharing your impressions of last year’s event. We’ve taken steps to address the proximity issue between the signin table and the band, so at this year’s event on February 27, you’ll notice quite an improvement 🙂 We’ll have lists of people who signed up for the event on hand at the signin table–which will be printed the day of the event–so hopefully we’ll have a pretty reliable list. Of course, walkins are welcome, too! Hope to see you at this year’s event. It’s shaping up to be a fun one!
